Know someone who needs computer, Office, AI or coding skills? Share your personal TechStep link. When they enrol and pay, you earn 10% of their course fee, paid straight into your bank account.

Join and verify
Sign up below and confirm your email. You get a personal link such as techstep.co.za/r/THANDI42.

Share your link
Send it on WhatsApp, social media or email. When someone uses it, the referral is recorded and you are notified.

They enrol and pay
We contact your referral, help them choose a level and confirm their payment. You get an update at every step.

You get paid
Once their fee is paid in full, your commission is approved and paid by EFT within 14 days.

There is no limit on how many people you refer. Company and team training booked through your link earns 5% of the invoice.

Who can join?
Anyone aged 18 or older with a South African bank account: past learners, parents, teachers, HR managers, community leaders and friends of TechStep.
How do I know my referral was recorded?
As soon as someone submits the form on your link, you receive an email and a notification in your dashboard. Your dashboard shows every referral and its status, from received to paid.
What if my friend contacts you on WhatsApp instead?
Your link remembers you for 60 days, and the WhatsApp buttons on our website automatically include your referral code. Your friend can also simply mention your code when they message us.
When do I get paid?
When your referral has paid their course fee in full, we approve your commission and pay it by EFT within 14 days. You receive an email at each step, and the payment reference is shown in your dashboard.
Can I refer a company?
Yes. Company and team training booked through your link earns 5% of the training invoice once it is paid.
Referral programme terms and privacy notice
- Referrers must be 18 or older, provide accurate details and verify their email address.
- Commission is 10% of the course fee actually paid by a new learner (or 5% of a paid company training invoice) who was referred through your link or code and was not already in contact with TechStep.
- Commission is earned only once the referred learner's fee is paid in full. Refunded or cancelled enrolments do not earn commission.
- Each referral can be credited to one referrer only. Where two referrers claim the same person, the first recorded referral counts. Referral links are remembered for 60 days.
- You cannot refer yourself, and commission is not paid on your own enrolment.
- Approved commission is paid by EFT to a South African bank account in the referrer's name within 14 days. You are responsible for declaring referral income for tax purposes.
- Spam, misleading claims about TechStep, or attempts to manipulate the programme lead to suspension and loss of unpaid commission.
- TechStep may change or end the programme with notice on this page. Commission already earned before a change will still be paid.
- Privacy (POPIA): we collect your name, email, cellphone number and banking details only to run this programme, contact you and pay you. Referred learners' details are used only to respond to their enquiry. We never sell personal information. To access, correct or delete your information, email admin@techstep.co.za.
